Lifeguards and staff are in charge. Lifeguards are under the direct supervision of the GCA Board and are entrusted to enforce all pool rules.

Do not distract Lifeguards on the stand, unless there is an emergency.

Members must register at front desk. Guests must leave with the sponsoring member.

Children age nine and under must be accompanied by a guardian who is at least 16 years of age.

Children age 10 -14 who have passed the swim test and have a current parent permission form on file may be allowed at the pool without an adult.

Baby Pool is reserved for attended children age 5 and under. Baby Pool is not guarded by the lifeguard staff. No children in Baby Pool left unattended by an adult at any time.

Baby swimsuits with flotation devices sewn into the suit and USCG approved flotation devices for young swimmers are allowed. Inflatable water wings are not permitted.

Proper pool attire is required. Cut off pants are not permitted in the pool due to the possible filtration system damage.

No pets allowed.

No glass or ceramic containers are permitted on the pool deck.

No running, horseplay, towel popping, or offensive or abusive language

No grabbing / hanging around the neck or climbing on shoulders.

No smoking or vaping on the pool deck. No use of illegal drugs and no use of marijuana anywhere on GCA property.

No speakers or other audio devices without the use of headphones.

Diving Well must be cleared before going off the diving board. Divers must go straight off the diving board with only one bounce on the diving board allowed.

Adult Swim may be called at quarter to the hour each hour for members / guests age 16 and older. Children age three and under are allowed only if they remain in the arms of their attending adult at all times. Lifeguards are not on stand during Adult Swim.

Thunder requires that the pool be cleared for a 20 minute delay. Lightning requires that the deck of the pool be cleared for a minimum of 30 minutes. Subsequent occurrences of thunder or lightning will restart the delay.

Lifeguards have full authority to stop any actions they deem hazardous to patrons or property. Lifeguards may require patrons not in compliance to leave the premises.
